Wednesday's Wisdom

It's hard to always know what to post, what tidbit of information I could give to you that will make a difference in your writing. Today, I'll just leave you with a few of the websites along the way I've found interesting and have some helpful hints.

http://victorinewrites.blogspot.com ~ Read this woman. She’s from Idaho, lives in Nebraska and became a NYT bestseller because of her ebooks. She’s important just like Amanda Hocking and she shares numbers as well as stats. She pointed out that the Writer’s Cafe on the Kindle boards is a great way to catch some FREE promotion if one keeps their eyes open. BUT it apparently is a place where you do need to socialize and that may be a time hog. Just a warning.

http://thewritersguidetoepublishing.com ~ This is a very, very good and realistic site on what it means to be an e-author. This lady really has it together here and everyone who plans to epublish needs to read over every article she has. Look for the one that states you can make a living doing this. Look at her numbers and how she’s achieved them and you’ll see why she’s really good. Visit her at her regular blog, http://ddscottauthor.blogspot.com, to get even more interesting news about this fabulous author. She shares her sales numbers and stats.

http://bookbloggerdirectory.wordpress.com/ ~ A directory full of listings and book blogger sites.

http://www.flashlightworthybooks.com/ ~ A reader(s) list of books and there 429 lists here. Don’t know what it takes to get on it but the site is sophisticated and gets lots of traffic.

http://www.deanwesleysmith.com ~ This man is a traditionally published author and self-epublished author. He has lots of good facts and a decent argument on why you don’t really want to use the $0.99 price point at all.

http://kriswrites.com/ ~ This is the website site of Kristine Kathryn Rusch and is awesome. Try reading the Business Rusch and you’ll see what I mean. She is traditionally published, an editor and a romance writer to boot.
